Imphal, August 10 (SNS): A government delegation led by the Deputy Chief Minister, along with Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam and a group of nine MLAs, visited Senapati and met representatives of the United Naga Council (UNC).
During the meeting, discussions were held on the ongoing issues and the economic blockade imposed by the UNC.
The UNC reiterated its four demands, including ensuring justice for the six Nagas who were killed, and stated that the economic blockade would not be withdrawn until all four demands are fulfilled.
The meeting began at around 11:30 am at the SM Sah Complex at Senapati District Headquarters and continued until around 2 pm.
The delegation included the Deputy Chief Minister, Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam, and MLAs including Radheshyam, Robin, Brajen, Nurul Hassan, Khasim Ruva and J. Kumo.
