Imphal, August 18 (SNS): Three protesters, including a female police officer of Manipur Police, were injured when security forces fired stun grenades to disperse women protesting and attempting to storm the office, demanding that "Census training cannot be held here in Imphal East."
According to reports, upon receiving news that census training was underway inside the office complex of the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Imphal East located at Porompat, Joint Front (JF) Degree Women Wing and local Meira Paibis (women torchbearers) gathered and marched toward the DC office.
